Introduction
As a thick fog rolls in from the sea, it brings with it shadow and despair. The sleepy fishing village of Tidewater, long cursed by its dark past, is home to more than just men. There is evil there that hungers and the streets are not to be traveled lightly. Those lost to the deep are forever restless, and they say the drowned dead have returned for revenge. The heavy foghorn of the lighthouse on the peak can be heard ringing out in the distance, yet more unsettling is the ominous roar that returns its call. But the coast is also a place for travelers; heroic individuals ready to fend off deadly spirits and contend with all manner of creatures from the dark depths to keep evil at bay, forcing it back into the icy waters that break along the rocky shores of The Coast!
The Coast™ introduces an Expansion board featuring a coastline to explore. This new board is
added to the existing Shadowbrook board and sits neatly beside it on the right, doubling the size of the total gameboard. If you also have the Echo Lake board from the Something Wicked™ Expansion, the three boards may be used together, lining up the roads from Shadowbrook, through Echo Lake, to the the Coast. The Coast board adds new Corner Locations (each with their own Location Deck), the new Town of Tidewater, and new Dangerous Locations, as well as a few new paths that may be traveled. New Corner Locations include: The Smuggler's Cove, Shipwreck, and Lighthouse.
There are four exciting new Heroes in the The Coast™ Expansion: Argot Blackwell the Master Hunter, Liliana Lost Soul, Doctor Edwards, and Maria De La Rosa the Smuggler. Each new playable hero also includes a detailed new plastic miniature.
Four brand new Villains are included to challenge players: The Siren, a temptress of the deep, can lure heroes to their doom! Crewed by spectral pirates and helmed by its sinister Ghost Captain, The Ghost Ship sails into harbor to attack the shoreline. The Sunken Seven are vengeful spirits that have returned from their watery grave seeking revenge on the town that betrayed them! The Dreamweaver is a creature of fear and shadow, made real within the nightmare world of a thousand dreams!
The Coast™ is a must-have expansion for A Touch of Evil®. It features a new game board that combines with the original Shadowbrook game board and the Echo Lake game board from the Something Wicked™ expansion to make a huge map of the countryside to explore! There is the new Town of Tidewater, with places to visit and an item deck to purchase from, and three new Town Elders. Three new mysterious locations full of encounters and items, plus deadly new Villains to fight, and a group of powerful new Heroes. This expansion takes the game to the next level!
